Our Heritage

Since the founding of our company more than 15 years ago, we've seen the world transition from discrete industrial societies to a technological culture. As an integral part of this transition, the design of large-scale engineering works has proven to be an intensely human activity fueled by innovation and vision.

From its inception,CAASTI Contracting has been at the forefront of this revolution. Our story is one of leadership, and our history continues to be characterized by the imprint of outstanding individuals—starting with the company's founder, JoAnn Taylor.

An auspicious beginning with community outreach

By the time CAASTI opened a Detroit office in 1998, she was already known as an ambitious and exceptional woman in the construction industry. Among the first undertakings of her new venture was the construction of Southeastern High School Athletic Field in Detroit, MI. Another of CAASTI's projects was to revitalize Detroit Public Schools Playgrounds with the award of the District Wide Playstructures. CAASTI is single handedly responsible for the rehabilitation and construction of over 100 school playgrounds in the Detroit area.
